Technology Learning Day

We regularly are asked how Learning Day works, and if there is a structured program on Learning Day Saturdays. CACC hosts a monthly Learning Day on the second Saturday of the month. Learning Day is an informal and unstructured session where you can drop-in and we'll help with any specific questions you have or specific topics you'd like assistance learning.

If you have questions or need help, Technology Learning Day is the place to be for one-on-one assistance! Support is available on a number of topics, so stop by a Learning Day one Saturday if you have questions, need help, or just want to shoot the breeze about Mac stuff.

CACC Resumes Meetings in September 2021!

Although we previously announced our plans to resume meetings in May, we heard concerns from some members about it being premature to meet again.

While we would love to talk about all the new Apple products and what you have been doing for the past year, we are listening to your feedback. CACC will not meet in May. Instead, we will wait a few more months before we meet again.

We apologize for the confusion and look forward to seeing everyone in September!

CACC Resumes Meetings in May 2021!

We are happy to share that CACC will be able to resume meetings at the Matthews Community Center in May. We will resume on our former schedule: every other month, with meetings in “odd” numbered months.

Our May in-person meeting dates will be as follows:
Technology Learning Day - Saturday, May 8 from 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Monthly educational meeting - Tuesday, May 11 at 7:00 p.m.

The Community Center continues to conduct temperature checks on everyone who enters the building, and asks Covid-19 screening questions about symptoms and exposures. In addition, masks are required when entering and inside of the building at all times, even when socially distanced.

Thanks for your continued support and your patience through this unprecedented time. We look forward to seeing you in May.

Important News for 2020

We are happy to share that the Community Center has graciously agreed to allow the club to change our meeting frequency. Here’s what that means for 2020:

We will meet every other month, in “odd” months (January, March, May, July, September, November).
Meetings still will be held on the second Tuesday of these months at 7:00 p.m. Our next meeting will be held Tuesday, March 11 at 7:00 p.m.

We will continue to host Tech Learning Day and it, too, will follow the odd-month schedule.
Learning Day still will be held the second Saturday of these months. We have adjusted the time to 10:00 a.m. - 12:00 p.m.

The club's calendar has been updated to reflect these changes. If you haven’t subscribed, we encourage you to take a moment to do so.

If you would like to present at a meeting this year, please let us know! If you would like to help at Learning Day any month, drop by and hang out with us.

Thank you for your continued support.

September 2020 activities canceled due to COVID-19

We have learned that public meetings at the Community Center will continue to be limited for the next month or so. In addition, walk-in events are not yet permitted. As a result, CACC will not be able to host a monthly meeting or Tech Learning Day in September. We may be able to resume in November but are not certain of that at this time.

Considering that the club has not been able to meet for the majority of the year, we would appreciate your feedback on how to close out the year. We have been discussing a few ideas, including waiting this out to see if we can meet in November or moving our meetings to virtual sessions via Zoom until we are able to resume in-person meetings. If you have a preference of these two options or another great idea for how we can continue to meet, we would appreciate hearing from you/ Please email us to share your suggestions.

We have been fortunate that members who have needed us have reached out over the past several months. That offer stands, of course. If you need us before we are able to resume in-person meetings, please reach out via email!

Did you discover a great new resource, or a Web site you just have to share? Come and share your tales with us!
